No more Labor Day?

Tyson Foods Processing Plant in Tennessee has decided to trade a paid Labor Day holiday for the Muslim celebration of Eid al-Fitr. Please remind me what country we live in again? The new contract also allows Muslims to have a "prayer room" in the plant. The union says that the prayer room is for peoples of all faiths and everyone can use it. Tyson claims the holiday was approved by 80% of the 1000 union members. Somehow I find that hard to believe. I have no problem with accommodating someones religious beliefs, however, this is crossing the line. This is America, Labor Day is an American Holiday. I'm tired of America accommodating everyone ese's religion, while Christianity gets spat on. During the Christmas Season, the P.C. thing to say is Happy Holidays, yet now we are giving people of the Muslim Faith a holiday in exchange for an American Holiday? Why not let those people who practice the Muslim Faith to take that day off?

Protecting America

"An electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack on the American homeland...is one of only a few ways that the United States could be defeated by its enemies -- terrorist or otherwise. And it is probably the easiest....Depending on the location and size of the blast, the effect would be to knock out already stressed power grids and other electrical systems across much or even all of the continental United States, for months if not years." -- US Senator Jon Kyl in the Washington Post, 4/16/05

Ladies and Gentlemen,

While people like Senator Barrack Obama are making plans to speak with President Adolf Achmidinejad without precondition, and Nancy Pelosi is busy trying to "save the world", our enemies are plotting to destroy us. Who represents us today? You and I, the concerned Americans who are wonding what is really going on in the world? How long are we going to sit idle, waiting for the Iranians to become a nuclear power?
I am not a geophysicist or a nuclear physicist, however, let me explain what a nuclear weapon detonated over our country will do. Detonated 20 km over the U.S., a nuclear weapon would give off an electromagnetic pulse or EMP. This EMP would effectively cause all electronic communications to cease. Car batteries and electronic components would fry, our cell phones would not work. Computers and the internet-gone. Sattellite communications would cease. Essentially, all electrical grids, electric driven water and utilities would stop. We would be back in the 18th century in an instant. Our military would be helpless. Our Commander in Chief would have no effective way to communicate with his military and military leaders would have no way to institute a massive recall of personnel. My question is this, what are the leaders of our country doing to implement a disaster response plan, if this were to happen? Secondly, when will we have an effective missile defense online to help prevent this catastrophe? Citing a Washington Post article, Jon Kyle states, "Few if any people would die right away. But the loss of power would have a cascading effect on all aspects of U.S. society. Communication would be largely impossible. Lack of refrigeration would leave food rotting in warehouses, exacerbated by a lack of transportation as those vehicles still working simply ran out of gas (which is pumped with electricity). The inability to sanitize and distribute water would quickly threaten public health, not to mention the safety of anyone in the path of the inevitable fires, which would rage unchecked. And as we have seen in areas of natural and other disasters, such circumstances often result in a fairly rapid breakdown of social order."
It's time to stop paying attention to American Idol and Paris Hilton. It's time to wake up and defend our country. Our leaders are drunk with power and greed. At what point do we say enough? Here is one more thought from Jon Kyle, The Sept. 11 commission report stated that our biggest failure was one of "imagination."

It's time to wake up, America.

Where is our America

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I start this blog with a heavy heart to ask, what is happening to our country? We are still and have been for some time, a country at war. Yet, our politicians pander to the defeatists and many like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barrack Obama have become defeatists. They have no courage or convictions. These politicians act in your names and pretend that they care about the troops that sacrifice so much. In reality, they are out for their own best interests. What happened to a time of honor and unity, when our represenatives stood behind the efforts of their own countrymen?
I am an Active Duty NCO in the U.S. Air Force and I started this blog to let people know how some of us feel about the shame these people are bringing on our country.
This is my personal information campaign to all of the people out there who are fed-up. It's time to throw these people out of Washington. It is an election year, it's time to start taking our country back. One man cannot work alone, it will take many. However, I have read many times that in order to lead, one must inspire. I seek, humbly, to do just that. Let's take our country back from these bums.
Ask yourself, since when has becoming a senator or congressman become a lifetime appointment? Many of these people forget that they work for us! It's time to send a wake-up call to all of them, both parties. I'm tired of illegal immigrants committing crimes and getting away with them. I'm tired of illegals driving up health care costs. I'm tired of the U.S. being forced to use foreign oil and making our enemies richer. I'm tired of democrats and environmentalists blocking drilling in the United States, where we have enough oil to fuel every single car and heat every home in the country for 60+ years! I'm tired of the global warming lies, propagated by frauds like Al Gore! It's all got to stop.
If you agree, let's start doing something about it.
